Yang Kau Sampaikan

Ini mau mu, atau dirinya ?

Langit kemarin cerah.
Purnama menyombongkan paras bening diantara gelap.

Lain halnya dengan hari ini.

Angin berhembus. Lembayung jingga menangis, tak rela pergi.

Begitu pula dengan ku.

Menatap wajah lelah mu, merenungkan keputusan yang seakan sekenanya saja.

Ini bukan sehari dua hari.

Komitmen masa depan,
Mau dibawa kemana keluarga kita ini ?

Langit terisak semakin kencang. Semburat violet memenuhi langit. Bahkan bintang enggan meringankan suasana.

Air mata sang cakrawala menetes, meninggalkan bekas di pipi, seakan mewakili.

Kalau yang disana bertanya,
Ini mau ku atau mau dirimu,

Jelas ku jawab,

Ini bukan panggilanku

Sedari awal sudah kukatakan
Tapi terserah padamu
Ini memang bukan hal mudah

Aku tahu keadaan kita. Aku tahu berapa banyak keputusan yang harus kau ambil. Aku tahu.

Rupanya langit dirundung pilu. Kini gelap menguasai malam. Di panduannya tertulis, hidup itu 'pilihan'.

Kejora masih engggan bersinar. Tapi masih peduli, berbisik. Berfikirlah bagaimana mereka 'membutuhkan' mu.

Ceritanya aku paham.

Tapi,

.
.
.

Bolehkah aku sedikit lebih egois lagi ?

Bukan Kisah Saya

"Pada akhir- bukan, emang sejak awal. Aku cuma "tangan yg lain" kan?"

Kamu, bukan sekedar "tangan yang lain".

Tangan itulah yang sedari awal berusaha ku raih.

Mengapa tak sampai jua, mengingat ternyata tangan kita saling menyambut, juga terlintas di pikiranku.

Itu salah siapa, aku tak berani menyimpulkan.

Tapi kau sendiri yang bilang tak peduli keadaannya, kau ingin terus begini.

Sejujurnya diriku pun.

Aku hanya bisa bermain peran-
Tidak-

Ini bukan permainan.
Setidaknya bukan bagiku.

Pengecut.

Dan kamu, bukan sekedar "tangan yang lain".

Malam Ini Masih Panjang

Jumat, 07 Agustus 2015

Dingin mulai merasuk sukma seraya bertanya

Masih berbalap, seakan mengejek

Muak

Kaki telanjang tak sempat merasakan sentakan dingin, terlalu sibuk berlari menuruni tangga. Mengabaikan deritan celaan kayu tua yang kuinjak sepanjang perjalanan.

Pintu itu terbuka, aku berlari
Terserah apa katamu, aku perlu menemuinya
Terserah mau kau hujat, toh apapun yang ku lakukan sama saja

Masih jam 1, malam ini masih panjang
Sungguh,
Dan aku, terpaku di tengah jalan sunyi, terengah dengan setarik napas yang tersisa, mencoba menggapai jejak yang kau tinggalkan.
So, I have an amazing senior who have joined a lot of robotic competitions (which I think is very cool) named Harits Muhamad Setyaman. So in this occasion, I'll ask some things about the competition~ ˭̡̞(◞⁎˃ᆺ˂)◞*✰

Harits, (the one who's holding the trophy) in a robotic competition in Singapore˭̡̞(◞⁎˃ᆺ˂)◞*✰

Nadhira : Assalamu'alaikum Harits ! I heard that you won a robotic competition lately.
Harits : Wa'alaikumsalam Nadhira. Well, that's true.
Nadhira : Congratulations ! So, why robots ?
Harits : Thankyou. Well, because I just simply love it. I was interested in fictional robots such as Gundam, Iron Man, Transformers etc. at first.
Nadhira : Okay, from where and when did you started to learn Robotic ?
Harits :When I was a 7th grader, I used to join a Robotic Course
Nadhira :And, when did you started to join a robotic competition ?
Harits :When I was a 7th grader too
Nadhira : Wow, Cool ! Oh, and I'm curious. Is there any category in a robotic competition?
Harits : Yes. A lot of it, Nadhira. But usually, for a senior high school phase, there's maze solving category, sumo robot, and open category.
Nadhira : Usually, which category are you joining in a competition ?
Harits :I'm joining the Maze Solving and the Sumo Robot category.
Nadhira : So far in the senior high school, how many competition have you joined ?
Harits :16 competitions
Nadhira : And from the 16 competitions, you have achieved ....
Harits :9 times in the first place, 1 time in the second place and 3 times in the third place.
Nadhira : Wow, that's so cool ! And the robot inside, are you making it by yourselves or buy it from a manufactory ?
Harits :Well it's different for each category thou. For the maze solving category, I choose a robot made by Pololu Manufactory, and for the sumo robot, me and my friends usually made it by ourselves.
Nadhira : Why did you choose A robot made by a manufactory ?
Harits :Well, It's because the robot I'm using have a really sensitive censor to the track and that robot also have a small size which makes me easier to set the robot's movement.
Nadhira : What about the other robot ? How long is the making takes ?
Harits :My friends and I made it for approximately a month.
Nadhira :Wow, I learned a lot ! Thanks for your time !
Harits : You're welcome
Nadhira : Assalamu'alaikum.
Harits :Wa'alaikumsalam.

That's it, so thanks for reading, and I hope you'll be motivated after reading this interview~ ˭̡̞(◞⁎˃ᆺ˂)◞*✰
Hi guys~ This time I'll tell you about a spot in Bandung which is quite special for me (人゚∀゚*) The spot is "Monumen Perjuangan Museum" ! ~(sfx:yay) It's located under the Monumen perjuangan
It contains a lot of dioramas, figures with historical uniforms, a timeline and a lot of other historical things.
It's actually quite creepy downstairs, but I enjoyed seeing the dioramas and the historical object there~
And Actually, There's not much that I can tell about this museum so I'll just put a bunch of photos and the description here !

So this song is actually have a lot of interpretations, because Hachi loves to uses metaphors and his lyrics are often sounded dark. This song IMHO is about a girl who's left behind by someone she once loved. She forgets all about him except for his face. Not the warmth they shared, nor the feelings. She even forgot about his presence. Not knowing anything at all, she feels empty. She asked something to fill in. All that she remembers is the feeling of grief or sadness which he left behind. Now that he's gone, the only prove of his presence is the hole he left behind. but after all the crying, she finally remembered something. His name is ...

Hi guys~ I'm going to write about my experience in a camping called CAMPRT(๑✧∀✧๑)/just going to put photos all over this blog/. In this camp, all the 10th graders are supposed to be the participant. But since I'm joining scout in my school, I become the committeeヾ(๑⃙⃘´ꇴ`๑⃙⃘)ノ ! It's actually quite tiring but I enjoyed it so much. So, the preparation start 2 months before the real camp is held. We did some surveys to decide which place is better to be used and finally we decided to choose a camping site with a waterfall in it named 'Curug Layung' in Lembang( •̀ᄇ• ́)ﻭ✧ curug is a sundanesse word which means waterfall.

The 'Curug' !

CAMPRT Day-1
Some of my seniors and a friend of mine go there first with some equipment so that they could prepare. I came to school to bring some stuff and to help them pack. Well, at least that's what I could doヽ( ・∀・)ノ
Struggles to put on the sign~

CAMPRT Day 1
I came to school early and brought some personal stuff and then helped the other committee. We go there by 'angkot' and I'm in the angkot with my friend from my class. Unfortunately, our angkot suddenly stop working. We haven't even leave Bandung and the angkot stopped working. Luckily, the driver could fix the car and then we could continue our journey. We're the last one arrived but since I know the track that's not a problemヾ(´▽`*)ノ☆ . We immediately go to the camping site and then I put my bag in the committee tent. My friends which is participants, are told to build their tents and then they're told to cook for lunch. I honestly don't remember what I've done in the first day (because I'm the 2nd secretary so I worked inside the tent) but I do remember being the representative for the 10th graders with a friend of mine Bimo, to lit up the campfire. It's actually a quite funny and embarrassing experience(⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄)⁄. At first I think it would be really cool. Well it was cool. At first. But it's not really cool after Bimo and I tried to lit up the campfire. Because IT WONT LIT UP 。゚(゚ノД`゚)゚。 When my senior pour gasoline, the fire thankfully became bigger. And then, there's some class performances. When the performances is ended, I went to sleep.

The Campfire Preparation
Morning Exercise ~

CAMPRT Day 2
At around 1 am I woke up and couldn't go back sleep. Because It's freezing there. And I sleep without a sleeping bag. What a smart thing to do. Camping without bringing a sleeping bag. Day 2 is the day when the tournament is held. But unfortunately it's suddenly raining and I suddenly became a heaver, because a lot of tent is soaked or flooded. So yes, I become a heaver, bringing 3 huge bags at a time to prevent the bag from sinking in the tent✧(๑✪д✪)۶ㅂ٩(✪д✪๑)✧. After the tournament is finished they packed their bags and tent, and we're ready to sent them home. I went back to school with the committee a little bit late because I have to help someone but it's okay.

In front of the committee tent
Maybe that's all. Thanks for reading.
Hi guys~ This time I'll tell you about The Amazing Mariana Trench ! (sfx:yay)

The Mariana Trench is located in the Pacific Ocean, just east of the 14 Mariana Islands (11"21' North latitude and 142" 12' East longitude ) near Japan.   As you probably already know (or not), it is the deepest part of the earth's oceans, and the deepest location of the earth itself.  It was created by ocean-to-ocean subduction, a phenomena in which a plate topped by oceanic crust is subducted beneath another plate topped by oceanic crust.

The Mariana Trench was first pinpointed and surveyed in 1951 by the  British Survey ship Challenger II., which gave its name for the trench's deepest point, "The Challenger Deep". The challenger deep is located near the southwestern extremity of the Mariana Trench and was first explored in 1960 by Swiss scientist Jacques Piccard & US Navy Lt. Donald Walsh in bathyscaph "Trieste", a US Navy owned submersible manned vessel (Designed by Jacques Piccard's father Auguste) which set a record by diving to a depth of 10, 900 meters (35,810 feet).

The scientist had the brilliant idea to use 70 tons of gasoline to fill the 50 foot long sub's floats, knowing that gasoline was lighter than water, which in turn was used to flood the submersible's air tanks, enabling its descent.   As the depth increased, the gasoline compressed, which reduced the sub's buoyancy and accelerated its progress until about 5 hours later, the Trieste had reached the ocean floor, withstanding over 16,000 pounds of pressure per square inch.

The Challenger expedition gave us our first glimpse of deep ocean basins and other characteristics of the ocean floor.  In addition to exploring the Mariana Trench, the Challenger gathered important data on the features and species of the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian oceans, covering nearly 130,000 kilometers, (approx. 71,000 nautical miles).  Nearly 5000 new species of sea creatures were discovered during the 4 year expedition.

In March of 1995, the Japanese unmanned submarine Kaiko was used to conduct further research deep within the Mariana Trench.  The Kaiko is a sophisticated vessel with a highly accurate positioning system, allowing scientists to gather important data without the need to endanger a human diver.

But just how deep is the Mariana Trench?
First off, here are the average depths of the earth's oceans; the Arctic Ocean is 1,038 meters (3,407 feet) deep, the Indian Ocean is 3,872 meters (12,740 feet) deep, the Atlantic Ocean is 3,872 meters (12,254 feet) deep and the Pacific Ocean is 4,188 meters (13,740 feet) deep.

The deepest point in each of the earth's oceans are as follows; the Arctic Ocean's Eurasian Basin at 5,450 meters (17,881 feet) deep, the Indian Ocean's Java Trench at 7,725 meters (25,344 feet) deep, the Atlantic Ocean's Puerto Rico Trench at 8,648 meters (28,374 feet) deep and the Pacific Ocean's Mariana Trench at 11,033 meters (36,201 feet) deep.

In order to better illustrate the actual depth of the Mariana Trench, consider the following; if Mount Everest, which is the tallest point on earth at 8,850 meters (29,035 feet), were set in the Mariana Trench, there would still be 2,183 meters (7,166 feet) of water left above it.

The Mariana Trench is often used as a North-South passage by submarines as it is part of a long system of trenches that circle the Pacific Ocean, connected with the Japan and Kuril Trenches.

I did mention that nearly 5000 new species were found. Here is some of it !

Goblin Shark

The terrifying goblin shark measures between 8 and 13 feet and was first discovered in 1898. Males can weigh up to 463 pounds, and if you weren’t scared already, you should see how they eat...

Hatchet Fish

The hatchetfish has special organs capable of producing their own light. They can be found at depths ranging from 600 to 4500 feet, which is the reason they need have such protruding, sensitive eyes.

Foot Ball Fish

The footballfish is a fish vaguely shaped like a football (how creative). It uses its bulbous lure to attract prey before snatching it up with its jaws.

Frilled Shark

The frilled shark is a prehistoric beast with 300 trident-shaped teeth neatly aligned in 25 rows. Scientists also believe that the frilled shark breaks the record for gestation periods amongst sharks, taking three and a half years to give birth.

Dumbo Octopus

The ear-like fins of this octopus have earned it the name “Dumbo.” The octopus lives at extreme depths of 10,000 to 11,000 feet, searching for worms and other crustaceans at the seafloor. Dumbo Octopii are about as cute as the Mariana Trench gets.

Fanfin Sea Devil

Although seadevils are part of the Anglerfish family, they don’t in fact have a lure. Males can only grow to about ½ an inch in length while the female can grow up to about 8 inches. Males will fuse themselves onto the female to breed and, like a parasite, share the female’s bloodstream. That’s one overly attached boyfriend.

Dragon Fish

Just like anglerfish, the dragonfish can produce its own light. The six-inch fish uses its flashing barbel (attached to its chin) to attract both prey and potential mates. The walls of its stomach are pitch black, to hide the light of any unlucky prey.

 Telescope Octopus

The telescope octopus has rotatable eyes on top of long, movable stalks, giving it an incredible range of vision. Its transparent body gives it an eerie ghost-like appearance.

Barrel Eye

The barreleye, found at depths of 2000 feet, is most notable for its transparent head and highly sensitive eyes. The green lenses above each eye allow the fish to filter out what little sunlight makes it down to these depths and focus on the lights of its prey.

Viper Fish

Found in waters 5000 feet deep, the teeth of the viperfish are so long that they can’t even fit into its own mouth. Instead, they curve back towards the eyes. The fish takes out prey by swimming at high speeds and impaling the victim with its fangs. Despite their terrifying appearance, these fish can only grow to around 12 inches in length.

Fang Tooth

In proportion to its body size, the fangtooth has the largest teeth of any known fish in the ocean. While it has fearsome weaponry, it only grows to a size of six inches, meaning that it would be easy prey for tuna if it came closer to the surface.
Hirondellea Gigas
These shrimp-like crustaceans live as far down as it gets. Up to two inches long, swarms are found at depths of 30,000 feet, where food is quite scarce. Scientists found that they instead feast on tree and plant debris that occasionally make it to the bottom. Their guts produce special enzymes capable of digesting what other fish see as trash.

Enypniastes
Enypniastes is a deep sea cucumber which leaves nothing to the imagination and lives up to 16,400 feet down. The red area is the animal’s mouth. Around it are tentacles, which scoop up edible mud from the seafloor. From there, well, you can see.

Well, that's a tiny bit from The Mariana Trench. I would love to see them with my own bare eyes(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
That's all from me enjoy !

Hi there, today I'll post an advertisemt I made to complete the task given by Ms Wiwin~ Its not my best because I have to made it in a hurry. Feel free to criticize !
Hi there ! It's me again, and now I'd love to tell you about a food that I love very much (((o(*゚▽゚*)o))) This food that I love, is called Pempek and it's a traditional food from Palembang (you have to know that I made some calls to my relatives in Palembang before I write this post). Pempek is a savoury fishcake delicacy from Palembang, Indonesia, made of fish and tapioca. Pempek is served with yellow noodles and a dark, rich sweet and sour sauce called kuah cuka or kuah cuko (lit. vinegar sauce), or "cuko". And I'll tell you a little bit about the history of PempekO(≧▽≦)O

PEMPEK(S) ヽ(´ω`○)ノ.+゚*。:゚+
Pempek is the best-known of Palembang's dishes. Its origin is undoubtly Palembang, however the history behind the creation of this savoury dish is unclear. According to local tradition, around the 16th century there was an old Chinese immigrant who lived near the Musi river. He noticed an abundance of fish caught by the local fishermen. In the Sumatran tropical climate, before the invention of refrigeration technology, most of these unsold leftover fish decayed and were wasted. The indigenous people, however had limited knowledge and techniques for processing fish. During that period, most of the indigenous people simply grilled, fried or boiled their fish instead of adding other ingredients to make new dishes. The old Chinese man mixed in some tapioca and other spices, which he then sold around the village on his cart. The people referred to this old man as 'pek-apek, where apek is a Chinese slang word to call an old man. The food is known today as empek-empek or pempek.ヾ(。◕ฺ∀◕ฺ)ノ
Another theory suggests that pempek was a Palembang adaptation of Southern Chinese Ngo Hiang or kekkian (fish slice) as a surimi (魚漿, yújiāng) based food. But instead of being served in soup or plainly fried, pempek is notable for its spicy palm sugar-vinegar based sauce..+:。ノ・ω・)ノ゙

There are many varieties of pempek, pempek variants are:
    Pempek Kapal Selam
  • Pempek kapal selam: (Indonesian : submarine pempek), which is made from a chicken egg wrapped within the pempek dough and then deep-fried. The shape is similar to Chinese dumplings but larger in size. According to food science and technology scientist, the pempek kapal selam, with egg addition, is rich in protein, fat, vitamin A, mineral, and carbohydrate content, is the most nutritious variety. The name derived from the shape of pempek that resembles submersible midge submarine.
  • Pempek telur kecil: (Indonesian: small egg pempek), filled with egg similar to pempek kapal selam, but smaller in size.
  • Pempek lenjer: long cylindrical pempek, its shape is similar to sausages.
Pempek Keriting (Curly pempek)
  • Pempek keriting: (Indonesian: curly pempek), the dough is made into small noodle ball. This similar process also applied to produce white kerupuk.
  • Pempek pistel: the shape and size is similar to pempek telur kecil, but filled with minced young papaya instead. (This is my favorite fyi /sowhat /nevermind)
  • Pempek kulit: (Indonesian: skin pempek), fish-skin pempek, the dough is mixed with minced fish skin, as the result it has stronger fishy aroma and darker color.
  • Pempek adaan: ball shaped pempek. And it tastes a little bit different than other pempek.
  • Pempek tahu: tofu sliced and filled with pempek dough.  (It's a kinda look like batagor I think)
  • Pempek model (Model Iwak): tofu wrapped inside pempek dough. Similar to pempek kapal selam, but egg is replaced with tofu.
Most of those pempek in various forms are deep fried in cooking oil until light pale brown, and served with yellow noodles or rice vermicelli and kuah cuko, sprinkled with chopped cucumber and ebi (ground dried shrimp) powder.
The pempek fishcake can be used as a base ingredient of other dishes. The unfried cylindrical pempek lenjer is often cut and added as a mixture to the following dishes:
  • Celimpungan: small pempek balls cooked in spicy coconut milk, served with chilli and sprinkled with bawang goreng (fried shallots).
  • Laksan: often referred to as Palembang style pempek in laksa soup, sliced pempek fishcake served in coconut milk based soup.
  • Lenggang: omelette with mixture of sliced pempek fishcake, also served in kuah cuko.
  • Tekwan: chopped pempek fishcake soup with jicama, mushroom and fishballs.
 AND I'll tell you how to make this thing ! Yeaaayyy sfx;applause୧༼ ヘ ᗜ ヘ ༽୨

3. Boil the water using saucepan, and cook the pempek, about 15 minutes. When they are coming up to the surface, mean it cooked. Set aside.
4. Deep fry the cooked pempek.
5. Make the soup (cuko): boil the water with all the ingredients until sugar is dissolved. Then grind the sauce using food grinder or hand mixer,  filter.
4. Serving: place the pempek in plate (you can cut into small pieces), add the noodle and then pour with the soup. Garnish with the cucumber. Some people like to add ebi (grinded dried shrimp).

Tadaaaa~ how's it?₍₍ ◝(●˙꒳˙●)◜ ₎₎ well maybe that's all from me thankyou for reading !

It's been a while since I write in this blog. This time, I actually have to tell you about my holiday. But, the truth is, I actually do nothing besides going to a game arcade or to some rando bookstores(ノ´д`). So, I will tell you what I do just right before the holiday.

I was joining a scouting extracurricular and they were making an inauguration activity for the new members. I actually really excited, but soon feel surprised when I found out that there's only 2 new member who's joining this activityΣ(。>д<。)ゞ! Apparently the others didn't get their parents permission to join, since it's raining a lot those days.
While walking through the muddy path

The activity is started with walking from Taman Hutan Raya Ir. H. Djuanda to Maribaya Waterfall. We started to walk on 8.30am and arrived at Maribaya Waterfall on 12am after doing some tasks we given to and after passing some 'special track' as the muddy path and after circling around the 'Goa Belanda' (if I not mistaken it with Goa Jepang(*゚Д゚) ).

While collecting data to make a map.
Right after we arrived there, we decided to take a lunch at the Maribaya Waterfall and searched for a perfect spot. There's not so much people there, so we could find that place easily. We started to eat when suddenly a monkey appears. That time, our reaction is just like Hey! There's a cute monkey watching us eating! (σ´∀`)σ and  we continued to eat. But as we eat, the monkey surround us, seems to be increasing and give us the creepy stareΣ(`д´ノ)ノ. One of my senior started to get afraid and the other threw bread so that the monkey will get distracted. But, when the bread was all eaten, the monkey will go back to us ! And suddenly, some monkeys started to disturb us and one of them, took my pack of tissues and then scatter the tissues all over the place ! Finally, we chose to give up and search for another place to eatΣ(。>д<。)ゞ

We continued our journey to go to the camp site in Cibodas village, not far from the waterfall (even though it's not very far, trust me, the journey is exhausting because of the uphill track). And finally, around 3pm, we arrived at the campsite. We rested for awhile, and then we started to build our tents. We do alot of things until it's getting dark but suddenly it started to rain ! So after we've cooked the dinner, we ate in our tent. The rain doesn't seems to stop so we decided to sleep early(*uдu).
Our camp site
I actually didn't get a good sleep because of the rain. Our tent, is built from flysheet and the water can go through this flysheet if it's raining heavily. We've covered our flysheet tent with poncho rain coat but water can still go through! Well, we think st least we're not all wet (I decided to sleep in rain coat fyi). I suddenly woke up at 2am in the next morning and found out that I've been sleeping in a puddle of water c(`Д´と⌒c)つ彡. I feel grateful for sleeping in a rain coat. After wiping the water with my towel, I go back to sleep. I'm awake again around 4am and see the senior outside. One of them came to me and tell me to change my clothes with the scout uniform. My scout uniform is still in the tailor so the senior lend me hers. At first I'm just like, Oh! That's great! But then, I changed my mind after seeing the size of the uniform. Well, my body is huge but the uniform is so small ! I still wear it anyway, while wishing nothing will be ripped and so. Surprisingly enough, the uniform fits perfectlyΣ└(゚ロ゚;)┘. But as I stepped outside, the skirt wasn't long enough to cover my legs. It only covers up to my shinbone. Lucky enough, no one realized.

So the inauguration begins in front of our campfire and ends after we says our vow and released the hot air paper-balloon to the dark sky. After that, I changed my clothes (again, which is nice since I'm afraid I'll rip my senior's uniform if I wear it for a long time) and warm my self in front of the campfire(・∀・`*) .

Gather around the campfire

Around 6am, we do some excercise and after that, wr decided to go to a little waterfall nearby. So we climbed a little bit and found a little yet fascinating waterfall. We decided to take some pictures. After we're all done playing with water, we go back to our campsite and eat breakfast. Just beside our campsite, there's a small lake with a bathtub-like-boat on it. We are all without thinking twice (well not really all) get into that tiny and sad looking boat and sail(?) Around the lake (yes, it's actually quite dangerousヾ(´ε `;)ゝ ).

12 People in a bathtub-like-boat

Just doing some silly poses infront of our little waterfall

After playing around in our campsite, we tidy up our equipment and take a photo together. So, that's what I'm doing just before the holiday( ´△`) . Well I admitted that there's a lot of grammar errors and maybe it's not the best post you've read. But this is one of the most meaningfull moment in my life(*'∀'人).

Thankyou for reading!(♡ >ω< ♡)

CINDERELLA

I guess you think you know this story.
You don't. The real one's much more gory.
The phoney one, the one you know,
Was cooked up years and years ago,
And made to sound all soft and sappy
Just to keep the children happy.
Mind you, they got the first bit right,
The bit where, in the dead of night,
The Ugly Sisters, jewels and all,
Departed for the Palace Ball,
While darling little Cinderella
Was locked up in a slimy cellar,
Where rats who wanted things to eat,
Began to nibble at her feet.
She bellowed 'Help!' and 'Let me out!'
The Magic Fairy heard her shout.
Appearing in a blaze of light,
She said, 'My dear, are you all right?'
'All right?' cried Cindy. 'Can't you see
'I feel as rotten as can be!'
She beat her fist against the wall,
And shouted, 'Get me to the Ball!
'There is a Disco at the Palace!
'The rest have gone and I am jealous!
'I want a dress! I want a coat!
'And earrings and a diamond brooch!
'And silver slippers, two of those!
'And lovely nylon panty-hose!
'Done up like that I'll guarantee
'The handsome Prince will fall for me!'
The Fairy said, 'Hang on a tick.'
She gave her wand a mighty flick
And quickly, in no time at all,
Cindy was at the Palace Ball!
It made the Ugly Sisters wince
To see her dancing with the Prince.
She held him very tight and pressed
herself against his manly chest.
The Prince himself was turned to pulp,
All he could do was gasp and gulp.
Then midnight struck. She shouted, 'Heck!
'I've got to run to save my neck!'
The Prince cried, 'No!!'
He grabbed her dress to hold her back.
As Cindy shouted, 'Let me go!'
The dress was ripped from head to toe.
She ran out in her underwear,
And lost one slipper on the stair.
The Prince was on it like a dart,
He pressed it to his pounding heart,
'The girl this slipper fits,' he cried,
'Tomorrow morn shall be my bride!
'I'll visit every house in town
'Until I've tracked the maiden down!'
Then rather carelessly, I fear,
He placed it on a crate of beer.
At once, one of the Ugly Sisters,
(The one whose face was blotched with blisters)
Sneaked up and grabbed the dainty shoe,
And quickly flushed it down the loo.
Then in its place she calmly put
The slipper from her own left foot.
Ah-ha, you see, the plot grows thicker,
And Cindy's luck starts looking sicker.
Next day, the Prince went charging down
To knock on all the doors in town.
In every house, the tension grew.
Who was the owner of the shoe?
The shoe was long and very wide.
(A normal foot got lost inside.)
Also it smelled a wee bit icky.
(The owner's feet were hot and sticky.)
Thousands of eager people came
To try it on, but all in vain.
Now came the Ugly Sisters' go.
One tried it on. The Prince screamed, 'No!'
But she screamed, 'Yes! It fits! Whoopee!
'So now you've got to marry me!'
The Prince went white from ear to ear.
He muttered, 'Let me out of here.'
'Oh no you don't! You made a vow!
'There's no way you can back out now!'
'Off with her head!' The Prince roared back.
They chopped it off with one big whack.
This pleased the Prince. He smiled and said,
'She's prettier without her head.'
Then up came Sister Number Two,
Who yelled, 'Now I will try the shoe!'
'Try this instead!' the Prince yelled back.
He swung his trusty sword and smack -
Her head went crashing to the ground.
It bounced a bit and rolled around.
In the kitchen, peeling spuds,
Cinderella heard the thuds
Of bouncing heads upon the floor,
And poked her own head round the door.
'What's all the racket?' Cindy cried.
'Mind your own bizz,' the Prince replied.
Poor Cindy's heart was torn to shreds.
My Prince! she thought. He chops off heads!
How could I marry anyone
Who does that sort of thing for fun?
The Prince cried, 'Who's this dirty girl?!'
Just then, all in a blaze of light,
The Magic Fairy hove in sight,
Her Magic Wand went swoosh and swish
'Cindy!' she cried, 'come make a wish!
'Wish anything and have no doubt
'That I will make it come about!'
Cindy answered, 'Oh kind Fairy,
'This time I shall be more wary.
'No more Princes, no more money.
'I have had my taste of honey.
'I'm wishing for a decent man.
'They're hard to find: D'you think you can?'
Within a minute, Cinderella
Was married to a lovely feller,
A simple jam-maker by trade,
Who sold good home-made marmalade.
Their house was filled with smiles and laughter
And they were happy ever after.
